Recently, students in the personal finance classes reviewed the high costs of college and were introduced to various forms of financial aid.  As I searched for classroom resources to assist students as they seek financial support for college, I stumbled upon Zinch, a web-service that matches students with scholarship opportunities.

After further research, students who sign up by visiting Zinch will instantly generate $1.00 for the DHS FBLA.  Please feel free to sign up for the scholarship matching service and feel good about helping out a club at Donegal.

We sincerely thank you!

FBLA State Competition

Just wanted to let you know a bit about the FBLA State Conference.  First of all, our students represented Donegal with great professionalism and were extremely well-behaved.
As far as results, we had 2 students that reached the top 10 in the State.

Ronny Rivera earned 4th in the State for Spreadsheet Applications.  He was only 2 points away from becoming eligible for Nationals.
Amanda Pelton was our other top 10 winner, achieving 8th place in Database Design and Application.
Two other members made the top 20, including Matt Crager (16th out of 81 competitors) who tested in Health Care Administration and Mary Grab (15th out of 91 competitors) who tested in Hospitality Management.
We are extremely proud of all of our students for putting forth the effort to prepare for their events and for representing Donegal with such great pride and enthusiasm.
